Hand-Painted Porcelain Beads
Brush-painted porcelain from 6mm to 26mm — the craft the company names first in its own introduction — with recorded prices from $0.18 per bead.
Every hand-painted porcelain bead passes through a painter's hand, and the catalogue treats that as the headline: the company introduces itself with hand-painted ceramic and porcelain at the front of its craft list. The recorded hand-painted lines are a 6–26mm porcelain range at $0.18–0.20 (MOQ 500), hand-painted blue-and-white rounds at 18mm at $0.18–0.21 (MOQ 500), and the hand-painted longlife-symbol line at 14mm at $0.18–0.20 (MOQ 1,000).
Hand painting changes how you should buy. Brushwork is not print: motif scale, line weight and colour depth vary within a batch, and that variation is precisely what your customers are paying for over a transfer-printed bead. The buying skill is to spec the motif and the acceptable variation, approve a sample from the actual batch, and keep that sample as the reference for repeats. Our blog guide to hand-painted porcelain walks through the process and the checks in full.

How buyers spec hand-painted lines
- Approve the batch, not the photo. Listing photos show one firing. Ask for a sample pack from current stock before a 500-piece commitment, and judge motif clarity at your actual size.
- State motif and ground colour together. The same motif on a white ground and a coloured ground is a different SKU. Your line item should read like the catalogue's: motif, shape, size, hole, ground.
- Plan for pairs at packing. If earrings or symmetrical designs need near-matched beads, write 'select matched pairs at packing' on the order — it cannot be fixed after the parcel ships.
- Reorder early. Painted lines are stocked per firing. When a motif sells through, the next firing may differ slightly; reordering while your batch is still in stock is the reliable way to keep a design consistent.
Minimums, units and packing
Recorded minimums are 500 pieces on the main hand-painted lines and 1,000 pieces on the longlife-symbol line. Sample packs below the minimum are a reasonable first step — ask on your inquiry. Confirm current price, motif stock and packing per SKU before ordering.
Buyer questions
How can I tell hand-painted from printed?
Look at the motif edges under magnification: brushwork shows slight pooling and line taper, and no two beads repeat exactly. Print is pixel- or edge-uniform. Our guide shows the checks in detail.
Will the paint wear off?
On glazed porcelain the painted decoration is sealed at firing and is wear-resistant in normal jewellery use. If a line is decorated over the glaze, that changes — ask for the process on your specific SKU and we will confirm it as recorded.
Which hand-painted line should a new buyer start with?
The 6–26mm main line at a 500-piece minimum: it offers the widest size choice at the joint-lowest recorded price, and a single order can test several sizes of the same motif family.
