Glass at wholesale runs on two systems — strands and pieces. This page prices both from the recorded listings and shows how to compare them.
Glass is where wholesale buyers most often compare wrong numbers. A millefiori strand at $2.90 and a loose lampwork bead at $0.19 are not two prices for the same thing: the strand price buys a strung length of matched beads, the piece price buys one bead. This page puts the recorded glass listings into their two systems — strand-sold lines (millefiori, chevron, spacers) and piece-sold lines (loose lampwork, swirl rounds and discs) — so your cost per finished piece can be computed honestly before you order.

Strand maths — compare cost per finished piece
- Ask beads-per-strand and strand length. A strand price is not a bead price. Your cost per bead is the strand price divided by beads per strand — the only figure that compares with a piece price — so get both strand figures for the exact line.
- Strand consistency is the product. Strands keep size and colour mix uniform within a line, which is why production buyers prefer them for small beads and accept piece-buying only for focals.
- Mixed strands need a sort plan. The recorded millefiori strand line runs 4/6/8/10/12mm in mixed colours. Confirm the size mix on each strand, the strand length and the bead count for the line you order. If your design uses one size, your true cost includes the sizes you will not use — price single-size alternatives before assuming the mix is cheaper.
- Recorded sales are stated per line. The two millefiori lines record 204 and 135 sold on their listings. Treat the figures as what they are — listing records for those exact lines — and confirm current availability per SKU before planning a repeat order around them.
Minimums, units and packing
Glass wholesale floors: 50 strands on all strand lines, 200 pieces on all loose lines. Confirm current price, strand length and beads-per-strand per SKU with your inquiry — the per-finished-piece maths in your costing depends on those two strand figures.

Are seed beads part of wholesale glass?

Can strand lines be restrung to my lengths?
Strands are supplied as listed. If your production needs custom strand lengths, say so in your inquiry — re-stringing is a service question, answered per order, not assumed.
